What ReelTide Does

ReelTide lets you submit links to YouTube videos and, once processed, publish them to your own Bilibili account. We extract the video and its metadata, adapt it for Bilibili's requirements, and hand it off for publishing when you choose to. You must own the content or have the right to publish it — ReelTide does not verify ownership on your behalf.

Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to use ReelTide. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any account at our discretion, particularly where we suspect fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms.

Connecting Third-Party Accounts

To publish videos, you connect your own Bilibili account via a login flow you control (QR code scan). We store the resulting session credentials in encrypted form. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes those credentials from our systems.

ReelTide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with YouTube, Bilibili, or their parent companies. All third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Bilibili's own platform terms, content policies, and account requirements (including its real-name/phone verification requirement) apply to your Bilibili account independently of your use of ReelTide. We are not responsible for actions Bilibili takes against your account, including suspension, content removal, or refusal to publish. You are solely responsible for complying with Bilibili's terms and policies.

You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to access and use any third-party account you connect, and that doing so does not violate any agreement you have with that platform.

Credits, Payments, and Refunds

ReelTide operates on a credit system. One credit is consumed only once a video has been successfully imported and stored on our servers. Editing metadata and publishing an already-imported video do not consume additional credits.

Credits are non-transferable and do not expire unless stated otherwise at time of purchase.

Depending on your location and currency, your payment is processed either by Paddle, acting as our Merchant of Record, or by Paystack, acting as our payment processor with ReelTide remaining the merchant of record. Regardless of which provider handles your payment, ReelTide is always responsible for confirming whether a credit was consumed, since that determination depends on our own records, not the payment provider's.

Refunds are available in accordance with our Refund Policy. In summary: you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase for unused credits by contacting us at [info@reeltide.online] or, where your purchase was processed by Paddle, directly through Paddle. Credits consumed by a successful import are not refundable. Free trial credits carry no cash value.

If a credit is deducted due to a verified error on our part (for example, a charge processed without a corresponding successful import), we will refund it once we've confirmed the error against our records.

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout. We do not store your full payment card details.

We reserve the right to change credit pricing, credit consumption rules, and the features included in the service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.

Chargebacks and payment disputes: If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, we may suspend your account and withhold unused credits pending resolution. Where a chargeback is initiated without valid cause, you agree to reimburse us for any fees, costs, or losses we incur as a result.

Storage and Deletion of Your Videos

Imported video files are retained temporarily on our infrastructure to allow editing and publishing, and are automatically deleted after a limited retention period (currently 30 days from successful import). Deleting the stored file does not delete your account's record of the import, or any credit already spent. If you need a video re-imported after its file has been deleted, this consumes a new credit.

You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of any content you submit. We are not a backup service and are not liable for any loss of content, whether due to retention limits, technical failure, or otherwise.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ReelTide to:

Import or publish content you do not own or do not have the legal right to distribute;
Import or publish content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
Import or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that violates Bilibili's own content policies;
Import or publish content depicting minors in a sexual or exploitative manner, or any content that would constitute a criminal offense;
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit requirements, or account restrictions;
Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the service other than through our documented interfaces;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the service, except as permitted by law;
Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties without our written consent;
Use the service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair ReelTide's infrastructure or the third-party platforms it connects to;
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
Interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service, other users' accounts, or our systems.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, without refund of any purchased or unused credits. We may also report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities.

Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, adapt, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the service and performing the actions you instruct us to perform (including publishing to Bilibili). This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes.

The ReelTide name, logo, and all related software, design, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content processed through ReelTide infringes your copyright, contact us at [info@reeltide.online] with:

A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
A description of the allegedly infringing material and where it can be found;
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf;
Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review and respond to valid notices, and may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Service Availability and No Guarantee of Success

ReelTide depends on the continued availability and behavior of third-party platforms (YouTube and Bilibili) that are outside our control and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that any specific import or publish will succeed, that Bilibili will accept or retain any published video, or that the service will be available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions, third-party platform changes, or account actions taken by YouTube or Bilibili.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the service at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReelTide and its operators, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue, lost profits, lost content, lost data, or loss of access to your Bilibili account, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReelTide and its operators, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your access to or use of the service;
Your violation of these terms;
Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights;
Content you submit, import, or publish through the service;
Any dispute between you and a third-party platform (including Bilibili or YouTube).

We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

Your right to use the service ceases immediately;
We may delete your stored videos, connected credentials, and account data, subject to our retention obligations;
Any credits you have purchased are forfeited without refund, except where required by law;
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of ReelTide after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must stop using the service.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya, unless otherwise required by applicable local consumer protection law in your country of residence.

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [info@reeltide.online] and allowing at least 30 days for a response.

General

Entire agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability: If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign these terms without restriction.

Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
